HR Department Assessment & Optimization

HR OPERATIONS

A diagnostic engagement evaluating your company’s HR function against best practices and delivering a prioritized optimization roadmap. Whether you’re a 50-person company building HR for the first time or a 1,000+ employee organization looking to upgrade, we’ll show you exactly where you stand and what to build next.

You suspect your HR function isn’t where it needs to be — but you don’t know the specifics.

Maybe you’re a CEO spending too much time on people issues. Maybe your HR team is buried in tactical work with no bandwidth for strategy. Maybe a board member or investor asked about your people infrastructure and you didn’t have a great answer. This assessment gives you the facts — and a clear roadmap forward.

Common Questions

How long does the assessment take?

Typically 3-6 weeks depending on the tier and company size. The HR Foundation Review for smaller companies can be completed in 3 weeks. The full HR & People Strategy Audit for larger organizations takes 4-6 weeks.

Will this feel disruptive to our team?

No. We’re experienced at conducting assessments without creating anxiety. Stakeholder interviews are positioned as “input sessions” and we work around your team’s schedule. Most people appreciate being asked for their perspective.

What happens after we get the roadmap?

You decide what to act on and how. Some clients implement independently using the roadmap. Many engage TGC&C for specific projects identified in the assessment — fractional CPO advisory, recruiting strategy, performance management design. The assessment naturally identifies which services would have the highest impact.
